Ingredients
  

Pasta and Meat

  • 12 pieces lasagna noodles, cooked Cook just until al dente.
  • 1 lb ground beef Can swap with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Seasonings and Sauces

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Cheeses

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 piece egg

Garnish

  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped Divided into two parts for mixing and garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned, then drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the marinara sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, grated Parmesan, and half of the chopped parsley.

Assembly & Baking

  • Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Layer cooked lasagna noodles, then add some ricotta mixture, followed by more meat sauce.
  • Sprinkle some cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top. Repeat these layers until you finish with a final layer of cheese.
  • Finally, sprinkle the crumbled turkey bacon over the top layer.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until it’s golden and bubbly.
  • Let it rest for 10 minutes before garnishing with fresh parsley and serving.

Notes

This dish pairs well with a simple side salad or garlic bread. You can also serve it with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping. You can make this lasagna ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator before baking. To store leftovers, let the lasagna cool completely, then cover it tightly with plastic wrap or foil. You can keep it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze it for up to 3 months.
