Main Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup whole egg mayonnaise Note 1
  • 1 tbsp American yellow mustard Note 2
  • 2 tbsp sweet gherkins finely chopped Note 3
  • 2 tsp gherkin juice (from the pickle jar) Note 4
  • 2 tsp white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp white wine vinegar Note 5
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic granules (or 1/4 tsp garlic powder)
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions

Preparation

  • Combine all ingredients in a small bowl or jug and stir until smooth.

Serving

  • Slather the sauce generously on both the base and top buns of your burgers.
  • This sauce works great with beef, chicken, or veggie burgers, and can also be served as a dipping sauce for fries or onion rings.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, let the sauce sit in the fridge for at least an hour before using. Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar. For heat, consider adding hot sauce or cayenne pepper. Modify with smoked paprika for a smoky flavor or sour cream for creaminess.
