  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips Use high-quality dark chocolate for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (hazelnut or almond) Experiment with different nut butters to find your favorite.
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (hazelnuts, almonds, or peanuts) Use any mix of your favorite nuts.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Optional for added sweetness.
  • 1 pinch salt Adds flavor, optional.
  • Additional as needed chopped nuts for rolling Can use the same or a different type of chopped nuts.

Preparation

  • In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt the dark chocolate chips and nut butter together until smooth.
  • Stir in the honey or maple syrup, along with a pinch of salt if desired.
  • Allow the mixture to cool slightly before handling.
  • Scoop tablespoons of the mixture and roll them into balls using your hands.
  • Roll each ball in additional chopped nuts to fully coat them.
  • Place the chocolate balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate until firm.
  • Enjoy your Nutty Chocolate Balls chilled or at room temperature!

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Chilling helps the balls hold their shape.
