Ingredients
  

For the brownie mix

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened (1 stick)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour baked previously
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

For coating

  • 8 ounces German sweet chocolate chopped into pieces

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spread the all-purpose flour over a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
  • In a large mixing bowl, use a hand or stand mixer to beat together brown sugar, granulated sugar, and butter until well combined.
  • Add vanilla extract and mix until the batter is smooth.
  • Incorporate the baked flour and cocoa powder into the mixture, stirring until it forms a soft dough-like ball.
  • Carefully fold in the mini chocolate chips using a rubber spatula.

Assembly

  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Refrigerate the brownie balls for about 20 minutes to chill.

Coating

  • Melt the German chocolate using a double boiler or microwave-safe container. If using a microwave, heat in 20-second intervals, stirring after each to achieve a smooth consistency.
  • Dip each brownie bite into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off before returning them to the baking sheet.
  • Let the brownie bites set before serving or speed up the process by placing them back in the fridge for a few minutes.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to a month, separated by parchment paper.
