Ingredients
  

For the Steak

  • 4 pieces beef steaks (sirloin or ribeye) Choose steaks with good marbling
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup beef or chicken stock
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

For Garnish

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

Instructions
 

Cooking the Steak

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steaks with salt and pepper.
  • Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or cook to your preferred doneness. Remove steaks and set aside to rest.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Lower the heat and pour in heavy cream and stock. Stir in Dijon mustard, thyme, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Let them warm for 1-2 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve steaks topped with the creamy garlic sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat gently to avoid overcooking the steak. For added flavor, mushrooms can be incorporated into the sauce.
