Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless chicken breast, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for another minute.
  • Add the cubed chicken to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides.
  • Mix in garam masala, cumin, and paprika, cooking for a minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the tomato sauce and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  • Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with rice or naan.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use ghee instead of butter. Adjust the spice levels by altering the amount of garam masala and paprika. Serve with a dollop of yogurt on top for extra creaminess.
