Ingredients

For the steak bites

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Season the steak bites with salt and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Cooking

  • Once the oil is hot, add the steak bites in a single layer, cooking in batches if necessary. Sear for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned.
  • Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set them aside.
  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and minced garlic, sautéing for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream while stirring constantly. Add the garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes (if using), and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened, about 3–5 minutes.
  • Return the steak bites to the skillet and stir to coat them in the sauce. Let it simmer for 1–2 minutes until warmed through.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Make sure the steak is cut into uniform pieces to ensure even cooking. Do not overcrowd the skillet when searing the steak to avoid steaming. For extra spice, increase the crushed red pepper flakes or add hot sauce.
