  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For greasing and searing
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened Ensure it's softened for a smoother sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with olive oil or cooking spray.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Sear the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown, then set aside on a plate.

Sauce Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Baking

  • Place the seared chicken breasts in the greased baking dish and pour the creamy sauce evenly over the chicken.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is bubbly.
  • Once baked, garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

You can add sautéed mushrooms or spinach into the creamy sauce for extra flavor. Adjust seasoning to taste and ensure cream cheese is softened before mixing for a smoother sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
