  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

  • Marinate chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least an hour.
  • In a bowl, mix together flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Remove the chicken pieces from the buttermilk, letting excess liquid drip off, and coat the chicken in the flour mixture.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Fry the chicken pieces for 10-15 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Drain the fried chicken on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Notes

For extra crunch, you can double-dip the chicken by repeating the coating process after the first fry. Let the fried chicken rest for a few minutes after frying before serving to enhance texture and flavor.
