Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups shredded chicken Can use pre-cooked chicken to speed up preparation
  • 1/2 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese Can experiment with different cheeses
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • Garlic powder Add to taste
  • Italian herbs Add to taste

Dough

  • 1 package pizza dough Store-bought or homemade

Garnish

  • parsley Parsley for garnish Optional

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian herbs. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  • Take your pizza dough and cut it into rounds using a bowl or cookie cutter.
  • Spoon a portion of the chicken filling onto one half of each dough round. Be careful not to overfill.
  • Fold the dough over to cover the filling and pinch or crimp the edges to seal.
  • Brush the tops of the calzones with olive oil and sprinkle some extra cheese on top.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and cook the calzones in batches for about 9 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Once done, remove them from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer or microwave. Don't overcrowd the air fryer; cook in batches for even crispiness.
