Dumpling Ingredients

  • 20 pieces Dumpling wrappers Use store-bought or homemade wrappers.
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese (or Parmesan) Feel free to mix cheeses for different flavors.
  • 2 tablespoons Oil for frying Use a high smoke point oil like vegetable or canola.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper Adjust to taste.

Preparation

  • Start by placing a small amount of cheese in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
  • Wet the edges of the wrapper with water to help seal it properly.
  • Fold the wrapper over the cheese, pinching the edges to create a sealed pocket.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Carefully place the dumplings in the hot oil, frying until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  • Once cooked, remove the dumplings from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess grease.

Serving

  • Serve warm as delightful appetizers or snacks with a side of dipping sauce.

Notes

These dumplings can be served with sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, or a homemade garlic dip. For an added touch, garnish with fresh herbs or chili flakes.
