  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional) for extra heat

Bang Bang Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce adjust for preferred heat level
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (freshly squeezed)

Garnishes (optional)

  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
  • Green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Remove the skin and cut the salmon into 1-inch cubes.
  • Toss the salmon pieces in a bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if desired.

Make the Bang Bang Sauce

  • In another bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth.
  • Taste and adjust the heat or sweetness by adding more sriracha or honey if needed.

Cooking the Salmon

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil.
  • Once the oil is hot, add the salmon pieces in a single layer. Cook until crispy and golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve these salmon bites hot, drizzled with the bang bang sauce.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro, green onions, and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat. Avoid microwaving to maintain crispiness. Ensure the salmon pieces are dry for maximum crispiness and do not overcrowd the skillet when cooking. Adjust sauce heat to taste. Variation: Substitute salmon with chicken or shrimp and adjust cooking time as necessary.
