Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can be substituted with half chicken broth for a lighter sauce.
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese Can be swapped with other cheeses such as Gruyère or feta.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) For an elegant presentation.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, mixing until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing it in the creamy sauce until well-coated. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat everything through.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

To store leftovers, place in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. When reheating, add a splash of cream to restore the creamy texture. Customize with vegetables, proteins, or different cheeses.
