Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 24-cup mini muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, yogurt, egg, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Fold in the mini chocolate chips gently.
  • Spoon the batter into the muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.

Baking

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes or until lightly golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow them to cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve warm, with optional powdered sugar on top or whipped cream. Store in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature or freeze for about three months.
