Ingredients
  

For the crust

  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

For the cheesecake filling

  • 2 packages cream cheese, softened (8 oz each) Make sure it's properly softened for a smooth mixture.
  • 1 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chopped apples (such as Granny Smith) Use a mix of sweet and tart apples for best flavor.
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Can drizzle extra on top when serving.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon For added flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Fold in the chopped apples and ground cinnamon, then pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust in the baking dish.
  • Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top and use a knife to swirl it into the cheesecake mixture.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the center is set.
  • Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Serving

  • Serve chilled or at room temperature, and enjoy!

Notes

Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze wrapped tightly for up to three months.
