  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • to taste Fresh parsley or green onions, for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Begin by patting the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
  • Season both sides of the salmon with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Place the salmon in the skillet, skin-side down, and sear for 4–5 minutes.
  • Flip the salmon and cook for another 3–4 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  • Remove the salmon from the skillet and set it aside.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the unsalted butter, minced garlic, honey, lemon juice, and smoked paprika.
  • Stir the mixture until the butter melts and everything is well combined.

Final Assembly

  • Return the salmon to the skillet and spoon the sauce over each fillet, allowing it to simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions before serving.
  • Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

This dish is best served immediately with sides like rice, quinoa, or a fresh salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in a skillet. Customize the spice level of Cajun seasoning to your preference.
