Preparation

  • Peel and chop the potatoes and carrot into small, bite-sized pieces.
  • Dice the pepper and celery into smaller chunks.
  • Shred the cabbage into thin strips.

Cooking

  • In a large pot, combine all the chopped ingredients together.
  • Pour in enough water or broth to cover the vegetables completely.
  • Bring the pot to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
  • Once it’s boiling, reduce the heat and let it gently simmer until all the vegetables are tender, about 20-25 minutes.
  • Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste, and serve hot.

Notes
