Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas Make sure they are very ripe for best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  • In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and mashed bananas.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add this dry mixture to the banana mixture, alternating with the whole milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

You can enjoy the cake plain or dust with powdered sugar. Adding whipped cream, ice cream, fresh fruit, or chocolate ganache enhances the serving.
