Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup uncooked white rice
  • 8 cabbage leaves
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup (10.75 ounces)

Directions

  1. Cook rice with water as per instructions.
  2. Blanch cabbage leaves in boiling water for a few minutes.
  3. Mix cooked rice, ground beef, onion, egg, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place a portion of the mixture in each cabbage leaf, roll, and secure with a toothpick.
  5. Place the rolls in a baking dish and pour the tomato soup over them.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 1 hour.
