Preparation Time

  • Cooking Time: 10 minutes per batch
  • Total Time: About 1 hour 25 minutes (includes chilling time)

Ingredients

  • 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • 1 cup roughly chopped salted peanuts
  • 1 cup broken pretzels
  • 1/2 cup caramel bits (or bits-o-brickle)

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, chopped peanuts, broken pretzels, and caramel bits.
  6. Cover and chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
  10. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Cook Notes

For even more texture, you can add oats or raisins to the dough.
