Ingredients

- 1 egg

Directions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, water, and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and flour.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 360°F to 375°F.
- Pour the batter into a funnel, using your finger to stop the flow of batter. Hold the funnel over the hot oil and release your finger, moving the funnel in a circular and crisscrossing motion to create a lattice pattern.
- Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Carefully remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar while still warm.
