Ingredients

  • 2 (10 count) cans flaky biscuits (Grands Jr recommended)
  • 1 lb sausage (Tennessee Pride or your preferred brand)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a mini muffin pan.
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned and crumbled. Drain any excess grease.
  3. In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage with the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well.
  4. Separate the biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters. Flatten each piece slightly and press into the cups of the mini muffin pan, forming a small well.
  5. Spoon the sausage and cheese mixture into each biscuit cup.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

For an extra kick, mix some diced jalapeños or a dash of cayenne pepper into the sausage and cheese mixture.
