Love, love, love the addition of Craisins and bacon, and the apples add a really great crunch. This is a perfect picnic salad – one we will be making all summer long!
-I made this recipe for our Mother’s Day dinner. Oh My Goodness, was it delish. My husband is not a big fan of foods eaten cold when he thinks they should be hot. Well, he went crazy over this salad and had 3 helpings. Will definately be making this one again. Thanks for sharing this recipe and congrats on your Blue Ribbon.
-Congrats on your Blue Ribbon. This is just like the one our family makes except with use Hellman’s light and sugar. I love this recipe. I have been eating broccoli all week and still want to make some.
-I am able to buy in my local supermarkets a package of “broccoli slaw” which is julienned broccoli. I use it with the packaged cabbage slaw mix and Marzetti’s slaw dressing. I would like to try that with the additions that you use…apples, craisins, bacon, nuts and red onions. Will let you know how it turns out.
-I will try this, minus the bacon, since I do not use any pork products. I think it will still be wonderful! Might put a shaker of the artificial bacon bits on the table for people to add as they serve themselves as desired. I really like the taste of those, but find they gets soggy quickly if added to recipes ahead of time.
