Baked Stuffed Brie with Cranberries & Walnuts

Ingredients:

  • 1 small wheel of Brie (about 6 to 8 inches), chilled
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed, plus extra for design
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon water

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together dried cranberries and chopped walnuts.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface. Place the Brie in the center.
  4. Spoon the cranberry and walnut mixture on top of the Brie.
  5. Fold the pastry over the Brie, sealing the edges. Create a decorative design with extra puff pastry if desired.
  6. Whisk together the egg and water to make an egg wash. Brush the pastry with the egg wash.
  7. Place the wrapped Brie on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
  8. Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
