Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- ¾ cup water
- 1 (1.5 ounce) package dry enchilada sauce mix
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
- 1 ½ pounds ground beef
- 1 (12 ounce) package corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef with garlic salt and onion powder until browned.
- Stir in the enchilada sauce mix, tomato paste, and water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Spread a layer of refried beans on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place a layer of tortillas over the beans, followed by a layer of the beef mixture, and sprinkle with Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese.
- Repeat the layers, ending with a cheese layer on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
