How to prepare it:

Peel the potatoes and remove sprouts and eyes. Wash well.
Cut the potatoes in halves to create even parts. Put them in a big pot.
Add the amount of water you would usually add and add 30 to 40 millilitres of pickle juice. Cook the potatoes as you normally would.
Did you know that potatoes are much tastier when you heat them in cold water instead of adding boiling water? This is due to the high amount of starches in potatoes. When potatoes are heated gradually, the cell membranes will strengthen and you won’t taste the starches as much. So next time you’re cooking potatoes, try to add them to cold water and heat them gradually with some pickle juice to get the optimal result.

The potatoes will get a very subtle pickle flavour, which means you won’t have to add salt, butter or sour cream to flavour your potatoes.

Adding pickle juice to your potatoes isn’t just great when you boil them, you can use this trick for all types of potatoes. Do you enjoy French fries?
