Ingredients

  • 500g of minced meat
  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 egg
  • Baked ham slices
  • 200g of cheese, sliced
  • For breaded:
    • 3 eggs
    • 200g (1 3/4 cups) of all-purpose flour
    • 100ml (1/2 cup) of milk
    • Panko breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the minced meat, finely chopped onion, salt, pepper, and one egg. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  2. Lay out a slice of ham on a clean surface. Place a portion of the meat mixture on the ham and add a slice of cheese on top. Carefully roll the ham around the meat and cheese to form a roll.
  3. Prepare the breading station by whisking together the remaining eggs and milk in one bowl, placing flour in a second bowl, and panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  4. Dip each meat roll first into the flour, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the breaded meat rolls until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Transfer the fried meat rolls to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  7. Serve hot with your preferred side dish or sauce.
