- Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 500g of minced meat
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 egg
- Baked ham slices
- 200g of cheese, sliced
- For breaded:
- 3 eggs
- 200g (1 3/4 cups) of all-purpose flour
- 100ml (1/2 cup) of milk
- Panko breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the minced meat, finely chopped onion, salt, pepper, and one egg. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Lay out a slice of ham on a clean surface. Place a portion of the meat mixture on the ham and add a slice of cheese on top. Carefully roll the ham around the meat and cheese to form a roll.
- Prepare the breading station by whisking together the remaining eggs and milk in one bowl, placing flour in a second bowl, and panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
- Dip each meat roll first into the flour, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the breaded meat rolls until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Transfer the fried meat rolls to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
- Serve hot with your preferred side dish or sauce.
Cook Notes
For an even crispier crust, you can double-bread the rolls by dipping them in the egg mixture and breadcrumbs a second time before frying.
