Ingredients

  • 3 lbs Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, thawed
  • ¾ cup Smuckers Sweet Orange Marmalade
  • ¾ cup of Sweet Baby Ray’s Original BBQ Sauce
  • 2 tbsp. Soy Sauce

Directions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crock pot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the orange marmalade, BBQ sauce, and soy sauce. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  3. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-7 hours.
  4. Once cooked, shred the chicken in the sauce, and stir to combine.
  5. Serve hot over rice or with your choice of sides.

Cook Notes

  • If the sauce is too thin after cooking, remove the lid and cook on high for an additional 20-30 minutes to reduce.
  • For a spicier version, add a dash of hot sauce or red pepper flakes to the sauce.

Variations

  • Pineapple Orange Chicken: Add chunks of pineapple for a tropical twist.
  • Crispy Orange Chicken: After cooking, broil the chicken pieces for a few minutes to add a crispy texture.

Keto Version

Use a sugar-free orange marmalade, keto-friendly BBQ sauce, and a low-sodium soy sauce alternative.

Low-Carb Version

Substitute the orange marmalade and BBQ sauce with low-carb alternatives and use a reduced-sodium soy sauce.
