Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg white

Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll one can of crescent dough and gently press the seams together to form a rectangle. Spread half of the softened cream cheese over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  3. Sprinkle half of the sugar over the cream cheese. Top with the second can of crescent dough, pinch the edges to seal, and gently press down.
  4. Cut the dough into 12 equal squares using a sharp knife.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and egg white. Brush the tops of the pastries with the egg wash.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. While the pastries bake, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over the warm danishes once they come out of the oven. Enjoy!
